Not sure you want a doula during labor but want to be as prepared as possible for birth? My PREPARE THE WAY CATHOLIC CHILDBIRTH classes are that perfect in between! In these Catholic childbirth education classes, we'll put together a birth plan, make sure you know all of the choices and options you have surrounding birth, and go over comfort measures that can alleviate discomfort during labor.
In person meetings are currently limited to the Hudson Valley, NY and Fairfield County, CT so that I can demonstrate the comfort measures, but don't worry - I come to you! If you are outside the local area, contact me for inquiries about remote options.

WHAT IS THE PREPARE THE WAY CHILDBIRTH EDUCATION COURSE?Catholic childbirth education gives you an overview of what happens during labor and how to prepare for it. We'll meet to discuss and prepare:
- Birth planning & understanding interventions
- The stages of labor and what they do to bring you closer to meeting baby
- Comfort measures to alleviate labor discomfort
- Postpartum planning, preparation & Newborn Care
- Prayer, Meditation, & Spiritual Preparation
- Focuses on the themes of Advent as our guide: Hope, Peace, Joy & Love
Think of it like a wedding - yes, God designed you for this vocation, but you still have a rehearsal! Knowing what happens makes the big day calm and peaceful. And most of all to dispel fears!
In the same way, God designed your body to give birth to this baby - let me show you what that will look like.

WHY TAKE A CATHOLIC CHILDBIRTH EDUCATION CLASS WITH ME?
As a Catholic doula, I have done a bunch of trainings on labor, birth and postpartum, and you know what the difference between a peaceful and a not-so-peaceful birth is?
It's not pain levels or baby's positioning or even whether it turned out to be a vaginal or caesarean birth - it's knowledge and the people in the room.
